VBS and More

This week we woke up and had VBS Tuesday thru Friday at a local preschool here in Huancane. It was a great experience. During one of the times we were there out singing Christian Kid songs, God showed me how unique and awesome of an experience it was to be there. You definitley could not go into a public preschool in the states and have a VBS and share the love of Christ. What an opportunity. We had a great time singing and doing crafts with them each day. School here in Peru is a lot different then in the states. The teachers do not have much classroom management so the kids basically do what they want in the classroom, so let´s just say that was a little different then when I student taught in the states. We had a blast though and I think they learned some Bible stories and were able see the love of God in us. At the end of the week the director of the school had a meeting with us and told us how thankful he was that we came and shared with the kids. He said every kid deserves to decide their own faith. So, that was really neat to here. He was very encouraging and I think we also made a big impact on the teachers there, they all told us how thankful they were that we came.

Other than VBS we had our ESL classes on Tuesday and Thursday. They are going really well and everyone seems to be opened more and more to the Bible Story we tell at the end. Continue to pray for these classes. We only have 4 left which is crazy and we would love for the people here to want to know more and more about our Savior.

I am continually thankful for the opportunities God keeps bringing our way to share with people. The relationships we have built are getting stronger and stronger. People sure love cooking for us! Rosmmy´s mom cooked Lomo for us on Tuesday for lunch and Louisa cooked Chicken soup for us for dinner on Monday. We also had a bonfire after dinner with Ruban and Louisa in which we showed them how to cook smores! It was awesome! I love bonfires, smores, my roomies, and Peruvians! We also had delicious chocolatada with our smores! Louisa also cooked Lomo for us on Friday and we babysat for the missionaries that night so they could go out for a night without the kiddos.

Well, it has been another great week in Peru. VBS was great and ESL classes are going well!

Love yáll!
